Scotty Trujillo pitches Copy Keyboard, his two key keyboard that makes copying and pasting easier, in Shark Tank episode 1413. Scotty is an avid TikToker and he gained a lot of fans for his produt. His videos have been seen by over 20 million people and it’s let him build a nice little business. There are other copy and paste keyboards out in Tik Tok land, but Scotty’s seems to have gained the most traction.
It’s a simple device. It’s literally a keyboard with 2 keys: “copy” and “paste.” It makes copying and pasting a tiny bit easier. If you do a lot of copying and pasting on your computer, it could help you out. The device plugs into a USB port on your computer and requires no special software. They are available for Macs and PCs.
There are 4 available models: 2 regular keyboards in black or white and 2 LED lit keyboards in black or white. The regular keyboards are $19.99 and the LED ones are $24.99. They’re currently only available on the company website and, as of the time of writing this article, only the black regular keyboard is available for purchase. The other models have a 2-3 week waitlist. From the looks of things, Scotty likely needs some Shark cash for inventory.
Scotty enters the Shark Tank seeking $40,000 for 25% of his company. He left the Tank with no deal.
